The University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center’s researchers have devised a cell nuclear receptor that could be activated by synthetic substances and high fat diets. In other words, the substances that are propagated as athletic performance enhancers could result in progression of various pre-cancerous lesions, thereby leading to pancreatic cancer (in mice as of now).
Research is still “on”
