The topics are inclusive of coronary artery disease, cardiac arrhythmias, valvular heart disease and heart failure, cardiac disease prevention and treatment, and cardiovascular health in women and elderly.

What’s with Aspirin?

According to the 2019 American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Guidelines on Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, it’s harmless to consider aspirin for primary-level prevention (class iib) in those between 40 and 70 years of age who are more likely to contract atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. At the same time, it has stated that aspirin should not be used by patients aged 70 and above.
